To assist you in your visit to the Crown Center Ice Terrace, here are some frequently asked questions. 

  • Where is the Crown Center Ice Terrace located?

    ​​​​​​The Crown Center Ice Terrace is located on the Blue Level of the Crown Center Square.  25th and Grand Blvd, Kansas City, Mo 64108.

  • Where is the best place to park for the Crown Center Ice Terrace?

    There are two Crown Center parking garages available for customers, on the East and West side of Grand Blvd.  By parking in the East Retail garage, on the Blue Level, you will be closest to your destination.  There are signs posted on property to assist you with parking.

  • Can I obtain parking validation at the Ice Terrace?

    3-hour parking validation is available at the Ice Terrace.  For an additional 2 hours of parking or a total of five free hours, please take same day receipts totaling at least $50.00 to Crown Center Customer Service (located on the 2nd level of the Crown Center Shops).

  • How much are tickets/skate rental?
    • Admission for Adults and Children 4 and older: $9.00
    • Children under age 4: Free with paid admission
    • Skate Rental: $5.00

     

  • Are there session times, how long can you skate?

    Customers can enjoy skating without any time limit.  Customers that would like to leave and return in the same day will be issued a wristband.

  • Do you need reservations?

    Reservations are not needed for individuals, but groups over 20 may make a reservation by calling 816-274-8411.

  • What skate sizes are available?

    Our facility offers rental skates in whole sizes between Toddler 8 – Men’s 15.

  • Is there a concession stand at the Crown Center Ice Terrace?
    • The Crown Center Ice Terrace Concession stand is open daily.  The concession stand closes 30 minutes prior to the rink closing.
    • The Crown Center Ice Terrace Concession stand offers:
      • Hot Cocoa, Cappuccino, Coffee
      • Bottled Coca-Cola Products
      • Candy
      • Chips
      • Nachos
      • Pretzels and Cheese
      • All-Beef Hot Dogs
  • Is there an area for spectators?

    The Crown Center Ice Terrace offers seating outside around the rink available to customers and their spectators.

  • Does the Crown Center Ice Terrace accept Cash or Credit?
    • We accept cash, no large bills please.
    • Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
    • ApplePay and Google Pay
  • Is the rink wheelchair accessible?

    The Crown Center Ice Terrace is ADA compliant.  Wheelchair users are welcome to participate on the ice.

  • What is your children’s skating policy?
    • Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult.
    • Children ages 6-12 must be supervised by an adult.
  • Does the Crown Center Ice Terrace have skating aids or walkers?

    The Ice Terrace does not have skating aids or walkers.  There is a handrail to help guide new skaters around the rink.

  • Can I wear my shoes on the ice?

    Anyone entering the ice surface is required to be wearing ice skates.

  • Do we have to pay admission if we have our own skates?

    Anyone entering the ice surface needs to check-in inside the Pro Shop. Customers with their own skates are required to purchase an admission wristband for $9.00.

  • Are there weather considerations?

    The Crown Center Ice Terrace is an outdoor ice rink, please dress accordingly.  The rink may close during inclement weather.
